The Leibniz Research Network China pools and connects the expertise and experience of 18 Leibniz Institutes in the humanities, economics, social sciences, spatial sciences, life sciences, natural sciences, and environmental sciences. Researchers at the participating institutions examine China’s rise as an economic, technological, and geopolitical superpower, as well as the resulting challenges for Germany's political and academic systems. This encompasses both opportunities for cooperation with China -scientifically and in identifying political solutions to global problems - and risks particularly in the area of research security.
